Application Deadlines
Each college sets its own application deadline. Some colleges may have deadlines for different programs, with applications due as early as October for certain programs. Make sure you know the application deadlines at the colleges you are applying to.
Regular Decision

Rolling Admissions

Applications are accepted, reviewed and decisions are sent out on an ongoing basis

If you are sure about the college you want to attend, applying early may be a good idea. You should thoroughly understand the early admissions options – review the options with the college admissions office and your school counselor.
Early Action (EA)

Deadline is early – often in mid-October

Acceptance decisions are sent out early – usually by December or January

You can apply to multiple one early action and regular admission colleges and and, if you are accepted EA, the offer is non-binding

Accepted students have until May 1 to decide

Standardized tests, if required, must be taken by October
Early Decision (ED)

Applying ED indicates that you consider that college as your top choice and are committed to attending if accepted

Deadline is early – often in mid-October

Acceptance decisions are sent out early – usually by December or January

You may only apply to only one college ED
-
ED is binding – meaning you commit to attending that college if accepted

You can apply to other colleges through regular decision, but you commit to withdrawing those if you are accepted by your early decision college

Standardized tests, if required, must be taken by October
