Applying to College

If you have followed Your High School Plan and completed the High School Calendar Checklists, you're well ahead in the application process for college admission by the time you reach the fall of your senior year.

While each school has its own formula, all consider these factors:

• Grades

• Standardized tests scores: SAT, ACT (optional at some colleges) and SAT Subject Tests (more competitive colleges and universities)

• Honors or advanced placement (AP) classes

• Electives

• Extracurricular activities

• Letters of recommendation
